When Dante Dagostini first got in touch from Utah, USA, it was clear this wasn’t just another wheel order.
This was a passion project rooted in motorsport heritage. Dante was building a stunning Group 4 Fiat 131 Abarth tribute, and he needed wheels that not only fit the aggressive stance of the car, but also honoured its racing legacy. That’s where we came in.
The Brief: A Nod to the Classics
Dante came to us looking for fully custom 3-piece split rims, with a style inspired by the iconic Campagnolo wheels used on rally cars of the 1970s and ‘80s. The sizes? A serious setup of 9.0 x 17” for the front and 11.0 x 17” for the rear — perfect for the widened arches and beefy Group 4 bodywork of his build.
But it wasn’t just about looks. The wheels had to be lightweight, strong, and true to form, all while being road- and rally-ready for the car’s adventures across the U.S.

The Build: Campagnolo Style, Made in the West Midlands
Crafted right here in the UK, we machined the wheels using our billet 3-piece construction, allowing complete control over fitment, offset, and design. The centre was shaped in our take on the classic Campagnolo pattern — crisp, functional, and unmistakably motorsport-inspired.
Each wheel was then finished with a silverpowder-coated centre and outer rim, bringing a subtle yet authentic vintage touch. No chrome. No fuss. Just a clean, timeless aesthetic that pairs perfectly with the Fiat’s white, black and livery.
We custom-built the backspacing and PCD to suit Dante’s car precisely, ensuring ideal stance and clearance for his suspension and brake setup.

The Result: Group 4 Goals Achieved
The finished wheels made their way across the Atlantic and onto Dante’s incredible build — and the result is nothing short of breathtaking. With their purposeful width, perfect offset, and period-correct styling, the wheels give the 131 Abarth the aggressive Group 4 stance it was built for.

Why We Loved This Build
At Image Wheels International, we live for projects like this — ones that blend history, personality, and performance. Dante’s Fiat 131 Abarth project was a masterclass in how custom wheels can elevate a car from impressive to iconic. And for us, there’s no greater reward than seeing our craftsmanship out in the world; even better when it’s halfway across it.
